...not the top three, ta la....

... a culprit is indispensible

my former lover has just been promoted to ( ) ...
I'm not going to fill in the blank...

  1. I was recently recruited for a senior position at another institution ... intriguing process, on a number of fronts. And, it seems, my destiny to be an irritant to senior administration remains intact and on course ;)

  2. Their is no greater feeling than being in a position of power. Enjoy the moment... it can be fleeting.

  3. I never had a manager or foreman that didn't need the training or correction only one who knew the job could provide.

  4. I go with Jimmy. Live for the day. Great post.

  5. Love the title of this. Being deferential is for wimps. Stick it to the man!

  6. Enigmatic indeed - here's to remaining the sand in the vaseline!

  7. thanks, all, for the resounding support!

Dave-- thanks-- I enjoyed the writing
Gerry-- I stole the title from a line in Samuel Beckett's Un/namable.... now there's a role model for sticking it to the man!
Pisces-- I love this metaphor.... I will be stealing that, too.

  8. Cool, lets the reader connect with it by leaving the blank space so he can feel it with his own story. A subliminal interactive poem. It is at the same time a strong message anyway you put it.

  9. Mariana-- thanks for that insider's perspective.... glad you liked.
