Three years...that's good. Our cats EAT the indoor plants. I guess this house isn't big enough for all of them.
ReplyDelete"not a metaphor for anything
except dead plants" - I am glad you said that, btw.
I always wonder who decides which are weeds and which bona-fide plants; who issues these permits?
ReplyDeleteBlack Thumb... brilliant :]
My cat has been with me for 5 years. He is cool.
ReplyDeletejadedj-- it is an achievement. i would love to get a cat.... partner has wretched allergies... but the cat might also solve my plant problems :)
ReplyDeleteglad to hear you have a cat with such a resonant temperament.
garth-- i wonder that every time i head out to do the weeding.... my guys are resilient as hell. they keep coming back to see me, season in and season out. glad you liked the title.
punch- now i am experiencing cat envy. i would expect nothing less than a cool cat if he's living with you.
I went out and bought me an Orchid. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat we call weeds are usually edible or medicinal plants. Can you eat that thing not a weed?
ReplyDeletei couldn't keep a plant alive if my life counted on it.....i have no interest in humans...i think you have to do more than water them....but man i can grow, norish, love anything that purrs...lol
ReplyDeletepunch-- good luck with that new addition!
ReplyDeletewm--now there's a good point! i have studiously avoided eating the plant in my house.... but you've given me food for thought ( sorry, bad joke)
anonymous-- i have a feeling the cats love you back...thanks for the comment.
great one!
ReplyDeleteI have a Christmas cactus that has outlived many relationships -- it's even older than intellikid, who'll turn 21 next month! Unfortunately, nearly every other plant I've tried to raise has not survived. Think the cactus is sabotaging them?
ReplyDeleteGerry-thanks for the visit and the sweet comment. always nice to see you :)
ReplyDeleteintelliwench- maybe it's the pricks.... ha ha. thanks for the visit!
