Seldom...Often

a shift in breeze
different
push / back from grass & ground
trees
swaying branches & leaves
breathing
whispering

when did always & never
become
such
prominent
declarations

who claims the right to say
we
when is we me
when I could care less
or
would rather not be
or
do not realize
I
am
paying attention
to
paying attention

  3. Sometime I hate being part of 'we', feels so disempowering and such a loss of self.

  4. Punch--thanks; at least three !! I was getting at the way so much of contemporary discourse is phrased in extremes, including extreme assumptions about claiming to speak for others ( ie, " we")
Jadedj-- I like the thought, look and feel of a mouse in the pocket. thanks.
Madame-- hard to imagine you as a lost self, but I understand what you mean about being subsumed under someone else's imposed " we". Ick.
