This morning I screamed...

This morning I screamed and kicked the photocopier.
clearly, I am processing rage, resentment, both....
fortunately, there was only one witness
and she was only slightly appalled
then, I went back to my office, did a fuck dance, and indulged in a little sniffle.
NOT a cry. A sniffle.

Today, I can tell you that this episode happened over two months ago.
I have sat on it since then. The rage, that is....not the photocopier.
Today I can tell you that today is all I've got.
I have been living deeply in these many 24 hours since I screamed
and kicked the photocopier.

Today I have once again committed to being in today.
I need the clarity of boundary and the fuzziness of hope.
I need to do my work
and step back.
But mostly, step back.

I am leaning into these words from me
and the words that beckon from you.

  1. Hello, friends. Sorry for the long silence. Work has been strange. I have been strange. Feeling less strange now. Ready to write and read again. Big sigh of relief.

  2. eh... I managed to shatter the touchscreen on a printer/copier a few weeks ago (the revenge of the technofucked) - this is my confession

  3. Garth.... strangely, I feel so much better reading your confession!! thanks for the visit and the oh so helpful comment. :)

  4. Alright, that's it! For the first time in months I've decided to take a look around the blogosphere and see some of my old pals are doing and the first three I visit are about death, dying, living in the moment! Crap! There isn't nearly enough sex, drugs and rock 'n roll going on around here.

  5. Mr. C-- ha ha. Great comment. I will have to integrate the "real" big three in my next blog post. Now I will have to engage in some research activities to get me in the mood. Looking forward to interacting with you again soon.
