Interests: movement, stressed/transgressive embodiment, lived experience (body\space\time\relation)
expression ( word, dance, text, image, story, music, poetics)
learning, yielding......
Hopes for the blog:
offer up the wild intersectedness of lived experience and engage others in creative, expressive, perhaps irreverant, hopefully playful, and respectful encounters....
enact kindness
create moments of pause for disclosure, discovery, stillness
Ask a busy person
a beckoning
maze
can't faze a razor's
edge
no matter how
crazed
and
dazed
the play's the thing
she stays
hackles raised
just a phase
malaise
weighs almost nothing
in the larger scheme of things
meaningless
praise
slays
the best of days....
feel the blaze
gaze
amazed
wonderful opening.
ReplyDeleteLike the rest of the gamut before the razor took it all out. what good is that polite applause that is disingenuous? I'd rather be booed than hear that.
can't say i know which way to go when the world's a stage and them that stayed said politely "no"
ReplyDeleteyup, sounds like a week at work: politics & ego-manoeuvring
ReplyDeleteWM-- amen to that, brother. give me honest disdain any day over deceit. thanks for the comment.
ReplyDeleteMr. C. --you make a great point. that polite " no" is an intriguing tension to manage. thanks for the visit.
Garth--to quote a favourite source....perhaps i need some anger management. ha. seriously, work place seems to be quite the site of inspiration sometimes. thanks for the visit.
I'm confused by what I read here because living is beautiful. I do remember days though before this poem of mine came into being the theme of my life:
ReplyDelete"There was a time I had my mind
play tricks on me.
I was so fine was I divine
the trick was on me.
But, I was blind had lost my mind
to a hell-sent worldview.
I thank you Lord, Oh Jesus Lord
I forever praise you.
Because I was losing my soul
Worshipping my brain.
No shame, so vain, losing my soul
Totally insane..."
