Orpheus

first, a necessary wound
pain's intimate clarity
finds its mark
hurts
like hell
no where to hide
imagine instead
rushing & crunching
through pile after pile of fallen leaves
soft amber swirling
floating...

then, one long, soaring moment
pours strange benevolence into a necessary scar
imagine its sweet resilience
cradling every treachery
released into soft amber
swirling
floating...

  1. I think I like Dilaudid the best for hiding before take off to the floating release.

  2. I've read this a number of times now trying to put my (cyber) finger on what it is - I keep coming back to escaping the hunt. I like the way it dashes from under the leaves to fly away.

  3. WM-- can't argue with that logic...there 's something about that smoothing feeling.... when pain is the issue, i think that "bearing it" as a mark of honour is just not all that honourable.
Pisces-- i love those words.... exactly what i was hoping to convey. escaping the hunt is also quite appropro... how'd ya know??
